Diocese of Central Florida, has appointed the Rev. Robert I. Maurais Interim Priest-in-Charge of St. Edward's in Mount
Dora.
Father Maurais is a former Rector of St.
Edward's, having previously served from 1978 until his retirement in 1996. He is a former president and treasurer
of the Mount Dora Ministerial Association, a former Dean of the Northwest Deanery, and was President of the Standing Committee
of the Diocese at the time of his retirement.
St. Edward's was founded in 1956 and is located on the corner of Fifth and Grandview
Streets in Mount Dora. The Holy Eucharist is celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m. each Sunday. It is a family parish, and
visitors, newcomers and those seeking a church home are always welcome!
