Members who take loving care to vest the altar for each service.
Bible
Study for Men and Women
This
Bible Study is facilitated by Bill Boyer who has 37 years in Christian ministry and as a U.S Navy Chaplain. He has received
a license to preach and teach in the Episcopal Church from Bishop John Howe. All men and women of any church background
are welcome. The study is each Thursday evening at 7:00 pm in St. Edward's Church Sanctuary.
Flower Guild
Members
who learn the skill and arrange fresh flowers each Sunday for the altar. Flowers are donated by those wishing to remember
loved ones or a thanksgiving for a special occasion.
Cursillo
An active Cursillo community dedicated to learning and living what is fundamental as a Christian and understanding
their call to be Christian Leaders.
Grounds
Maintenance
A group
of members working together to keep the church grounds in tip-top shape.
Hospitality / Fellowship
A group who provides refreshments for after church services. An
opportunity to meet and greet new and old members.
In His Name
Members who provide baby packages
for needy new mothers.
Lay Eucharist Ministers
Members who are trained to serve communion to shut-ins.
Lectors
Members who are trained and
scheduled to read scripture and prayers at the worship services.
Men's Club
A social gathering with various service projects.
Nursery
Members
that serve in the nursery which is available at the 10 a.m. service for ages birth to 4 years old.
Out-to-Lunch Bunch
All of the women are invited to have lunch together at an assigned
restaurant.
Outreach
Members
participate in projects which benefit individuals and families within our community.
Prayer Chain
A group who communicates by telephone to pray for those in special
need.
Shekinah
[meaning "the glory of God"]
A
group of worship leaders who use contemporary and traditional music during the second service on the fourth Sunday of each
month.
St.
Edward's Schools
Preschool:
3 to 5 year old children taught in a family-oriented setting with a curriculum that is rich in literacy and phonemic awareness.
Sunday School: children attend
a "children's church" that meets in Hartridge Hall at 10 a.m. for a Bible lesson, game and craft pertaining
to the lesson. The children join their families in the church to participate and gain an understanding of Communion.
Ushers and Greeters
Members who greet parishioners and
visitors, and help anyone who might need assistance.
Women's Bible Study
Group of women who gather together to enhance their knowledge of the Bible. The two
classes meet on Monday evenings at 6 p.m. and Wednesday mornings at 9:30 a.m.
