We here at St. Edward's want to welcome all people to join us at the Lord's Table.  We teach scripture as it was written remaining true to the Gospel.  This is an amazing parish that has survived so many challenges and continues to be a warm retreat for those seeking the wonder and grace of our Lord.  All are welcome to join us and will be warmly received.  The people of St. Edward's work as a family in providing an amazing sanctuary for Christians of all ages and backgrounds.  Our regular services on Sunday are complemented by a Healing Service on Wednesday at noon.  We are a family-oriented church with many ministries for all.

We all are on a journey, beginning with birth and from that time forward we become architects of our own future.  As we journey we sometime find ourselves separated from the Father and like a small child, at first rejoice in our new found freedom only to soon feel the desperate sense of loneliness and abandonment.  Paul tells us we are "tent people" living a temporary existence.  Above the lintel of each church door should read, "Come to me, all you who labor and are overburdened, and I will give you rest.  Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light."  Matthew 11:28-30

A plaque at the Statue of Liberty quotes Emma Lazarus' famous poem; "Give me your tired, your poor, your hungry, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free...I lift a lamp beside the golden door."  Let those who hunger for God's word and are poor in spirit, and yearn to be spiritually free come to  St. Edward's, the "Light of Christ" is always lit.
